Diesel for Mazda 2

Diesel for Mazda 2.

In October last year, Mazda launched its new model in Europe, i.e. Mazda 2.

The car was warmly received, which resulted in quite good sales. By April this year, almost all buyers were found 40 thousand copies of Mazda2.

It should be added, that since its launch, the little Mazda has only been offered as a five-door version and only with petrol engines. This somewhat limited the group of buyers.

That's why the Japanese are filling the gaps in their offer. The three-door Mazda2 is now on sale, In addition, each Mazda2 can be ordered with a diesel engine 1.4 l.

The three-door Mazda2 has a more aggressive styling, combining high maneuverability, therefore, high suitability in urban crowds with sportiness. What's more, sports style packages will be available. Thus, this car, despite a completely similar engine offer, is aimed at a slightly different audience than the 5-door version.

Until now, the Mazda2 could only be purchased with petrol engines 1.3 offered in two power variants – 75 the 86 KM. The top version was engine-powered 1.5 with power 103 KM.

Now Mazda is introducing a diesel engine to its offer 1.4 made in common-rail technology. Mazda developed it especially for Europe, where operating costs are the most important criterion for buyers of class B cars. Another thing, that, looking at the prices of diesel oil, the Japanese were a bit late…

Click The diesel engine has power 68 HP and torque 160 Nm available at 2000 rpm. In mixed mode it is designed to consume on average 4.3 l fuel per 100 km.

All engines will work with manual transmissions, five-speed gearboxes. These gearboxes feature higher gear ratios than the gearbox used in the previous generation Mazda, which translates into lower fuel consumption, of course at the expense of acceleration.

The low weight of the new Mazda2 is noteworthy. The three-door version, depending on the engine, is o 5 do 10 kg lighter than the five-door and ranges from 950 kg for a car with a petrol engine 1.3 do 970 kg for a diesel car 1.4.

The three-door Mazda2 is now going on sale. Its prices start from 39 900 PLN for a car with an engine 1.3 75 KM to 54 000 PLN for the 103-horsepower version. The diesel car was priced at 53 000 zloty.
