Mazda is not for Poles

Mazda is not for Poles

Judging by the recent premieres of the Mazda2 and Mazda6, it would seem so, that the Japanese manufacturer is now targeting mainly the markets of the Old Continent.

Cars designed according to ideology “zoom-zoom”, which reflects the dynamics and pleasure of driving, They are becoming more and more bold in Europe. You can guess, that Polish streets will soon be full of vehicles from the Japanese manufacturer – After several years of absence, the brand finally has an official representative office in our country.

However, Mazda does not forget about the domestic market. Production of a new minivan called biante has just started in Japan. The eight-seater vehicle with a heavily glazed body is somewhat reminiscent of European designs. The lines of the car bear similarities to, for example, Peugeot 806 or a new multiplayer. The car will be available only with petrol engines (capacity 2,0 l. i 2,3 l.) and depending on the version, it will have front-wheel drive, or all wheels. The drivetrain will feature four- and five-speed automatic transmissions, the latter also offer a manual mode.

First of all, Mazda 6

First of all, Mazda 6

A ceremony was held in Józefów near Warsaw to mark the start of Mazda's operations in Poland.

Journalists met the entire Mazda Motor Logistic Europe team, branch in Poland limited liability company, headed by CEO Wojciech Halarewicz and Managing Director Shunsuke Hamamoto. It's a company company “mothers” from Belgium, which is in 100 percent owned by a Japanese company. All Mazda cars are manufactured in Japan. The, that will hit the Polish market will be specially adapted to our climate (more powerful battery, additional insulation, headlight washers). But the most important thing for us is this, so that everyone can feel comfortable behind the wheel of a Mazda and enjoy the journey – emphasizes Wojciech Halarewicz.

What cars will be offered on the Polish market? About 40 percentage of the volume will go to Mazda 6 (the cheapest – 1.8 with power 120 KM in the Comfort version will cost – 78 000 zloty).

Mazda 6 it's full “coverage” offers. The versions will include a hatchback, as well as a sedan and a station wagon, there will be both a petrol engine, as well as diesel.

The offer will also include Mazda 3 (the price of the cheapest version is 57 900 zloty) in three versions – hatchback, sedan (since October this year. it will be a completely new model) and a new Mazda 2 (cena 39 900 zloty), both 3- as well as 5-door. Mazda will also be on sale 5 after facelift, price from 77 000 zloty.

You will also be able to buy the MX5. It is true that no one at Mazda's Polish representative office expects large sales volumes of this car, but its price – 85 000 zloty – may tempt many people

Mazda doesn't have one – at least at the beginning of its operations in Poland – ambition to achieve 11-12 percent market share. In the coming years, he will be satisfied with a two percent share. This year he wants to sell 1500 – 1700 cars, and throughout the financial year 2 thousands.
